Volkswagen EA128 prototype (c1963/65)

a large (by European standards) luxury sedan and wagon that were based on the first generation 901/911 with 2-litre flat 6 engine detuned to produce 90hp.

the car was designed principally for the North American market but Volkswagen’s risk-averse management were concerned the car would be priced beyond what consumers would be prepared to pay for a VW.
